Brushed cans are not dead, but they are a hobby choice now, not a performance one. If you want repeatable lap times, cool temps, and a drivetrain that lasts more than a season, brushless is the answer.

01 Brushless vs Brushed

  • Efficiency: Brushless 85-90% vs brushed 75-80%.
  • Lifespan: No brushes to wear, no comm to true. Bearings are the only real consumable.
  • Maintenance: Wipe the can, blow out the dust, keep it geared right.
  • Power density: 540-can brushless will out-pull same-size brushed by a wide margin.

02 Sensored vs Sensorless

Sensored Motors
